The technician from Kellar Mechanical was friendly and very knowledgeable about my heating and air conditioning unit, he took the time to carefully explain to me how the unit works as well as what to set it on for optimum comfort, which for me would translate into savings. Kellar Mechanical is the best company for my heating and air needs.I would highly recommend them to anyone👍
Matt, the technician was here in early October to diagnose our broken heat pump for our warranty company. He showed me what the alleged problems were - damaged fan motor, four burned out fuses and said it needed a bracket. Matt returned the day after to take pictures of the heat pump for the warranty company. Later that day, I was notified by the warranty company that the technician refused to do the repairs and that my claim was being reassigned. My hunch is that Matt scared off the warranty company by claiming the needed repairs were somewhere around $6,000, which is a shocking price for what Matt told me needed repairs - fan motor, four fuses and a bracket. That amount of money just to repair a 14 year old heat pump is mind boggling! A new system would be only about $1,500 more. Matt called me and said the repairs would cost about $2,000, but emailed me a repair quote for $6,100. This conduct was deception on his part. Again, I can understand the warranty company being scared off. Yesterday, the latest contractor we were assigned by the warranty company completed the repairs - got a new compressor and refrigerant. He said the previous technician really disassembled lots of wiring that he had to correct. Was it Matt? I kind of wonder. Lastly, Victoria, Office Manager was very defensive and kind of rude in her emails when I asked if Kellar MechanicaI offered any senior discount or accepted Visa. Overall, this company is highly unprofessional with a very defensive office manager and deceitful technician named Matt. I definitely don't recommend this company to anyone. Avoid, unless you want to get ripped off.
